Hi, I’m Will Puchy, a dedicated and passionate lighting engineer who makes every event shine - literally! Whether it’s a high-energy festival, an electrifying concert, or a polished corporate event, I take pride in bringing every production to life with precision and creativity.
I have a strong technical foundation that allows me to design and operate dynamic, immersive lighting shows. Great lighting isn’t just about illumination - it’s about enhancing the atmosphere, setting the mood, and making every performance unforgettable.
I’m a hard worker who thrives under pressure, always willing to put in the time and effort needed to ensure a flawless show. Every event is an opportunity to push boundaries, and I’m always excited to take on bigger and greater productions, putting my skills to the test on the largest stages.

A little more about me:
I am an experienced lighting engineer with a strong technical background in all aspects of event lighting. From rigging and cabling to setting up networks and patching lights, I ensure everything runs smoothly and efficiently. I have a solid understanding of programming and operating lighting consoles, allowing me to create dynamic and impactful designs. With a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results, I bring reliability and professionalism to every production.
I have hands-on experience working with pyrotechnics, CO2 jets, and confetti cannons, adding exciting special effects to enhance live productions. Whether it’s creating explosive moments, high-energy bursts of CO2, or vibrant confetti showers, I ensure everything is set up and operated safely and effectively. I’m no stranger to long hours and tight turnarounds - my flexible schedule means I’m always ready to put in the effort when needed, including a 23-hour day for an Oktoberfest show. No matter the challenge, I’m committed to making every event unforgettable.
I have extensive experience working with Chamsys and Avolites lighting consoles, allowing me to program and operate stunning light shows with efficiency and creativity. Additionally, I’m skilled in Resolume video mapping. Beyond my technical expertise, I hold an IPAF 3a and 3b licence, enabling me to operate scissor lifts and cherry pickers safely. I’m also first aid trained and hold a full UK driving licence, ensuring I can contribute to a safe and flexible working environment on any production.
Why I do what I do…
I love being a lighting engineer because it allows me to make a real impact on every performance. It’s about creating atmosphere, building anticipation, and elevating the energy of a show. Whether it’s a dramatic moment in a concert, an exciting flash in a festival, or a polished look for a corporate event, I take pride in knowing that my work helps shape the experience.
I enjoy the creative and technical challenge of bringing a vision to life, working closely with other production teams to ensure a seamless show. The best part is seeing the reaction from the audience - when the lights hit just right, and you can feel their excitement, it makes all the effort worthwhile.
